Point Friends of Music
The Rocky Point Friends of Music is comprised of parents, families, and educators dedicated to assisting the Rocky Point School District's Music Department. Although the district is comparatively small, its historically exemplary Music Program serves a large percentage of our students, from elementary level through 12th grade. Research has shown a distinct correlation between improved academics and the study of music. The Friends of Music offers support and encouragement to the development of this important aspect of the students' education, and as more children participate, the key members' children graduate, we find it necessary to appeal to the parents of students enrolled in the program to become actively involved, in order to ensure the perpetuation of the organization.
